Introduction

In moments of emotional distress, Islam provides not only comfort but actionable duas. The Prophet ﷺ taught us a special dua to be protected from anxiety, sorrow, weakness, and financial burden — offering hope and clarity to the troubled heart.

Transliteration: Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal-hammi wal-ḥazan, wal-‘ajzi wal-kasal, wal-jubni wal-bukhl, wa dhala’id-dayn wa ghalabatir-rijal.

Translation: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, from weakness and laziness, from cowardice and stinginess, and from the burden of debt and overpowering of men.

This comprehensive dua was taught by the Prophet ﷺ for daily protection from emotional and financial struggles. It covers a wide spectrum of human challenges, reflecting Islam’s holistic care for the soul.

Key Reflections
